Free ReadIndia’s digital payments sector is on an upswing, but Covid-19 has caused a significant number of debit and credit card payment terminals to become inactive.
About 30% of the 5.7 million point-of-sale (PoS) machines deployed as of December have become inactive or been returned, said two senior executives at companies that deploy these terminals for banks.
