Online food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy is close to hiring a CEO for its food delivery business, multiple people aware of the development told The CapTable. Rohit Kapoor, a former McKinsey and Oyo executive, is likely to take up the role, roughly a year after COO Vivek Sunder resigned, these people said.

After Sunder left Swiggy in September 2021 to become the CEO of math learning startup Cuemath, group CEO Sriharsha Majety began overseeing Swiggy’s food delivery business along with other core strategic initiatives. In parallel, the company began the hunt for a CEO for this core business.
