India’s startup funding markers have moved up in 2026, but not yet by enough to signal a decisive break from last year. Tech companies raised $10.3 billion in the first nine months, 7% more than the $9.7 billion raised in the comparable period of 2025 and 3% above 9M 2024, according to Tracxn, a data intelligence platform.
That leaves 2026 on course to finish ahead of 2025 if the fourth quarter broadly holds up, but the nine-month lead is only $600 million. To turn that into a meaningful full-year step-up, the final quarter would have to materially outperform the corresponding period last year. Otherwise, the needle will have moved only modestly.
