Earlier this week, American tech giant Apple set itself up for a strong close to the year with the launch of its latest iPhone, the iPhone16.
The iPhone 16 series marks the Cupertino-headquartered company’s entry into what is being referred to as the AI phone race. The devices will support the company’s AI suite, Apple Intelligence, pitting them against Google’s Gemini AI. The latter will power the Pixel, Google’s flagship device, as well as premium devices from Samsung, which also run on Google’s Android operating system.
While the markets didn’t respond well to the announcement, with the company’s stock dipping 1%, the launch of the iPhone16 should see an uptick in sales for Apple over the next quarter.
