Over the past week, electric car manufacturer Tesla’s job listings for positions in India kicked up a wave of reports and a storm of speculation about its entry into the country.
Reuters reported that Tesla has already secured locations for two showrooms—one in Mumbai and another in Delhi—and is expected to import cars from its factory in Berlin. Other publications added more details, including talks about setting up a factory, potential launch timelines, and other operational plans.
All of it, though, feels like déjà vu.
