Few from the new generation of management and technology graduates see manufacturing as their first career choice. That presented a hiring challenge to Asish Mohapatra, his wife, Ruchi Kalra, and Bhuvan Gupta when they started OfBusiness in 2015.
OfBusiness, which achieved unicorn status last year, is a B2B platform for buying raw materials. It also facilitates credit for small businesses. As it got off the ground, it needed young folks who could meet large corporations and contractors, track government tenders and handle operations-heavy tasks. Using technology to streamline internal systems was another key requirement.
CEO Mohapatra knew it would take more than a good entry offer to get the right talent. So, when he pitched to graduates from some top institutions, he showed them what their growth at Gurugram-headquartered OfBusiness would look like.
