5 MINS READIn a six-year span, Unified Payments Interface, or UPI, has become almost the de facto mode for debit transactions, with funds drawn directly from users’ bank accounts. And now, it is warming up to the credit side of the payments world.
Boost for ecosystem: RuPay credit cards went live on UPI this week. Consumers can create a virtual payment address linked to their RuPay account and transact through apps. (BHIM to begin with.)
