Aakash Chaudhry, co-founder of Aakash Educational Services, has launched a new retail venture in healthcare products as his return to Aakash CEO remains in limbo due to a
long-standing dispute with troubled edtech giant Byju’s.
The new retail chain, Aakash Life, opened its first outlet late last year in Rajouri Garden, Delhi, and plans to open its second outlet in Lucknow in the coming month or so, two people aware of the matter told The CapTable. The brand hopes to expand to southern regions and is targeting cities such as Pune in Maharashtra and Hyderabad in Telangana, they added, speaking on condition of anonymity. Aakash Life will sell pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and skin care products.
