When Ultrahuman launched its smart ring in 2022, it wasn’t just another wearable.
The “world’s most advanced metabolic tracker,” as it called itself, struck a chord with health-conscious users worldwide with its sleek, titanium build and aesthetic design. And its biggest following came in the US, the world’s largest smart ring market. Clocking nearly a million units annually, the US accounts for roughly a third of global smart ring sales, and is more than double the Asia-Pacific numbers.
For Ultrahuman, it was a breakthrough. Once known for its glucose sensors, the Ultrahuman M1, the company soon found itself on the shelves of Best Buy and Walmart, competing with global giants like Oura and Apple. It was hailed as the first Indian competitor to Finnish pioneer Oura, the company that made smart rings popular.
