Urban Company’s fastest-growing vertical is also its biggest drag

Insta Help, Urban Company’s on-demand, quick housekeeping service, is fuelling growth but also bleeding money. The Rs 44-crore loss in Q2 FY26 pulled the company back into the red. The next few quarters will test whether it becomes UC’s biggest moat or its costliest experiment.

Eight months in, Insta Help already looks like Urban Company’s fastest-growing bet yet.

The quick housekeeping service, which promises to send house helps within 15 minutes, clocks 4.7 lakh monthly orders—a high-frequency, high-engagement vertical scaling faster than any of UC’s previous launches.

“This growth has come despite limited city and geographic coverage, underscoring the category’s massive potential,” said Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Co-founder, Managing Director and CEO of Urban Company during the company’s Q2 FY26 earnings call.
