Bengaluru-based Seetha Iyer (name changed) detests talking about layoffs. Iyer is packing her bags to set out for a week, with her 5 year old son, to unwind. In September, she lost her job at Salesforce, the provider of customer relationship management software, as the company laid off 4,000 customer support executives worldwide. Now, AI processes half of all customer queries at Salesforce, according to the company.
