Refund Policy

At The CapTable, we are committed to delivering insightful journalism and sharp analysis on India's business and startup ecosystem. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to ensure transparency around how refunds and cancellations are handled.

1. Subscription Plans
The CapTable offers digital subscriptions on the following plans:

  • Quarterly Subscription
  • Annual Subscription

All charges are clearly communicated at the time of purchase.

2. No Refund on Initial Purchases
We do not issue refunds for new subscription purchases (whether quarterly or annual) once access to premium content has been activated.

3. Refunds on Auto-Renewals
If your subscription auto-renews and you do not wish to continue, you may request a refund within 7 days of the renewal date. In such cases, we may issue a prorated refund based on the time elapsed.
Refunds for auto-renewals are granted on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

4. Exceptions — Refunds May Be Issued If:

  • Duplicate Charges: If you're charged more than once for the same subscription, we will refund the excess amount.
  • Technical Errors: If you're charged but do not receive access due to a technical issue, we will issue a full refund.
  • Unauthorized Transactions: Verified fraudulent payments will be refunded in full.

To request a refund, write to hello@the-captable.com with your payment receipt and a brief description of the issue.

5. Auto-Renewal & Cancellation Policy
All subscriptions are subject to auto-renewal at the end of their term.
To cancel auto-renewal, subscribers must email us at hello@the-captable.com before the next billing date.
Once auto-renewal is cancelled, you will retain access for the remainder of your paid term.

6. Promotional and Bundle Offers
Subscriptions purchased as part of promotional bundles (e.g., TechSparks ticket + CapTable access) are non-refundable, except in cases of technical failure or duplicate payments.

7. Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. Timelines may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

8. International Payments
Support for international payments is currently being implemented. The refund policy for international transactions will be updated once this feature is fully functional.
