In 2009, InMobi’s three co-founders, led by CEO Naveen Tewari, decided to ditch their original idea for an SMS-based search service. Instead, they would switch to building a mobile-ads network. That decision proved fortuitous. Just two years later, InMobi became India’s first unicorn.
Today the company houses a second unicorn, Glance, which it incubated in 2019. The InMobi group now has four divisions—the group’s mainstay business InMobi Ads, Glance, and two other consumer businesses, live entertainment platform Roposo, and gaming and game streaming platform Nostra.
