Even as it prepares to launch its much-awaited IPO, Urban Company, India’s largest home services platform, is reinventing itself as a multi-category giant for “all things home.” Its latest bet is Revamp, a one-day micro home makeover service offering wall panels, modular furniture, and decor.
Revamp comes after Insta Maid (later rebranded as Insta Help), which got launched in March with a 15-minute service promise. The broader home services market, which includes categories like cooking and laundry, is already worth $16 billion. But as we reported last month, building an Urban Company + Zepto + Uber model isn’t easy.
After a decade of building its home services empire, Urban Company has also stepped into products with Native RO purifiers and smart locks. Product sales, including toolkits for its service professionals, contributed 26% of its FY25 revenue (Rs 1,145 crore).
