Quick commerce companies are expanding their presence like never before. In May, Zomato said during its quarterly earnings results that its quick commerce subsidiary Blinkit would double its store count in the year ended March 2024 to about 1,000 stores. Following its recent $665 million funding round, Zepto also said that it would double its store count from about 350 to 700 stores.
However, while both quick commerce contenders are rapidly expanding, they differ in where they are growing their presence.
